About WWF

World Wildlife Fund or simply known as WWF is an international organization that adheres to the conservation of nature and animal welfare. Over 100 countries strongly support WWF and there are almost 5 million organization members from around the globe.

Founded in the year 1961, WWF has become a role model for organizations in pursuit of nature conservation. It has become the most influential organization through having a consistent record of achievements in line with its goal.

The organization’s primary work is to protect any endangered flora and fauna. WWF strongly believes that endangered animals and plants should not be protected merely because they are beautiful, but because they play an essential part in the world’s complicated chain.

From a simple goal, WWF’s scope of task widened. Today, the organization is also delving about various types of pollution that harms the soil, protecting the atmosphere and protecting various bodies of water.

WWF Philippines

Philippines is one of the hundreds of countries that support WWF. It is also the 26th national extension of the world renowned WWF. Since the year 1997, WWF-Philippines has proven to be active in pursuing the goal of nature and animal preservation through the various successfully implemented projects. The projects became an eye-opener to the people in concern of protecting some of the significant ecosystems in the continental Asia.

WWF-Philippines is constantly aiming in putting environmental threats to stop through the programs it launches. It also pursues to sustain the use of natural resources. In line with this, other concerns like the reduction of waste and pollution is also one of WWF-Philippines’ goals. The national organization envisions the full protection of globally-significant flora and fauna in the near future.
